All the links in your footer are bad, dead links alone are bad for search ranking, if the content they point to is now inaccessible you could get a further drop. Big list of cities or zip codes in your case re now considered SEO spam and could be contributing factors to your drop in ranking. Google ignores meta keywords. Congrats on having the DMOZ backlink, you have a few others that looke relevant and valuable, the number of links from Christian Andrew Design probably don't help much, adding more backlinks at a steady pace would help. Remember your meta description of each page can be your first opportunity to get your message to a prospect, Google sometimes copies them verbatum to search results.

if its not even appearing when you put things that are totally precise to your website, its because the google bots haven't found it yet. search engines have 'bots' that basically scour the web for new web addresses, and then add them to the list of all the billions of websites they know about. I dont know how search engine results are prioritised, i guess firstly by the name of the site, and its contents, and then by how popular it is, and possibly how much advertising there is on it.

Run it through the W3C markup checker here: http://validator.w3.org/ It is coming up with a massive number of errors, which means robots (search engines) may have difficulty understanding the content. The first and most critical one is that you do not have a DTD - Document Type Definition - in the first line. I'd advise using 'xhtml1-transitional' as that's the most compatible across all browsers. Example DTD line: Yahoo trims stuff....) Change both instances of 'Strict' to 'Transitional' for easier code compatibility. Then keep running the checker and fixing the errors / warnings it gives.

Best way of adding a search engine for internal content search is Installing Your Own Search Engine Script. The ideal way is to install your own Perl or PHP search engine script . This requires you to have the facility to install and run PHP or Perl scripts on your web account. You don't need to be able to write one. There are numerous free search engine scripts that you can adapt for your site. You can find a list of these on the Free Search Engine Perl Scripts (for Perl scripts) and the Free Php Search Engine Scripts (for PHP scripts) pages. In general there are two types of PHP or Perl search engine scripts. One will search your entire website for the relevant article each time your visitor invokes the search engine. The other creates an index of your site and only searches the index when the visitor uses the engine. The former is easier to configure and use for the newcomer, but quickly becomes sluggish when your website grows big. The latter is more efficient, but often requires you to remember to re-index your site each time you change your pages.
