I don't know what I want to be when I grow up?
Topic: Being independent in college essay
June 24, 2019 / By Brian Question:
I am a junior in high school and I have to write a paper for a class on what I want to be when I grow up. I want to put down billionaire or lottery winner but obviously that would give me a F on my paper. I am thinking of majoring in something like economics, poli sci, business, etc. something around that general area. I would love to go to Wellesley, a liberal arts college. I want to be someone who is independent, successful, and powerful. Realistically, I am an introverted person who is creative and artistic as well as intelligent, hardworking, and responsible. I really don't know what I want to be, maybe I should just lie on my paper and put down that I want to be a pediatrician or dentist like most Asian girls.

When you apply to places, be demanding about the job. Don't call 3 times a day, but call about 3-5 days after sending in your application, call again two days later unless told to do otherwise, and continue to call every other day until you get conclusive news.
You may need to work on your interview skills as well. Being sharp looking is only Half of it. Having the talk, a honest prowess and a firm handshake will get you further than you
At the same time, embrace the playful, carefree aspects of a child's life. Be a little immature and don't let all these "adult things" make you too organized/serious. (:

under no reasons should a man hit a girl, or woman, and if your sister is hitting you that is wrong to. where are the parents??? don't they have an opinion? no, you will probably not grow up to be violent unless you let this become a learned behavior. start now learning other ways of expressing your anger. if your sister has a problem with anger which seems like she does, then you both can learn to get along and stop this before it goes to far most of the time violent behavior starts with one slap or getting pushy with another person. then it gets more aggressive from there. how old are you. your sister is 21, she is too old to be hitting you. but that still doesn't give you a reason to hit back. start by walking away from the situation until things cool down. ask your parents to talk to her. and learn that some people doesn't know how to resolve problems without violence. does your parents fight? if so, it could be the only example you know. you don''t have to learn that behavior. it take a more mature person to find a way to settle misunderstandings without physical fights.
