Yes, job applications are the only thing you really need your SSN for, it proves that you are allowed to work in your country, it also proves that you are a citizen of your country. Without providing a SSN, you will not get the job.

I consider it is unlawful to ask for your ssn on an application. If you are making use of for a function that requires a credit inquiry, there is in most cases a separate authorization form that you simply sign and fill in this knowledge.

I applied online and they called me right away! And I got a job. So try it,they might call you back just as quickly as a walk-in.

Online Applications are never good...ever! You need to be directly seen by the manager at whatever McDonald's you are applying at. I worked there for a little while and my manager has rejected quite a few people because of the way the acted when they brought in their applications. I on the other hand came in the store with heels, dress pants, and a nice shirt. No matter where you are applying at you should always look professional.

well yeah it would take a long or short time it depends when the person (whoever it is) looks at the application when ever the their policy says the right time to check for it! So it would probably be on average to about 1 to 4 days
